Blue skies, Blue dress.

1 Nov

The sunshine has finally returned! It was a glorious day and luckily was my only day off this week!

I enjoyed a sleep in and then ended up back at my work but only as I needed a decent coffee. I think I need to invest in a coffee machine or ask for one for christmas. Instant coffee just isn’t the same. I then had a quick trip down the street and visited a few of the op-shops and found myself a new bag and a cute dress and only spent $6!!

I spent the rest of the day doing some washing and discussing wedding ideas with Taygan. I love technology, she is currently in Chicago and we can still have instant conversations. I am so happy it’s November, it means she returns this month! Yay!

I have been waiting for a warmer day to wear this dress. It is so gorgeous. I love the frill and embroidered detail on the collar and around the pockets. Oh and I love that it has pockets!! So cute!

Blue is the new black

29 Oct

Another amazing find at the local op-shop and it’s a Norman Hartnell dress! Like so many of my other dresses it’s another blue one! I think my wardrobe is being taken over by numerous shades of blue because it matches my hair.

I was so happy with this find. It’s my exact size and it came with a cute little belt.  I didn’t even realise it was a Norman Hartnell (or much about him) until I was talking to Taygan today and trying to figure out what era the dress was from, we went with late 70s.
